Multidisciplinary integrated approaches to understand evasion of host immune responses by pathogens
Posted on January 17, 2012 | No CommentsInfectious disease are still a major cause of morbidity an mortality worldwide. Successful treatment and prevention are still hampered by insufficient understanding of the subtle interactions that govern the infectious processes. Evasion of the natural or vaccine-induced immune response is often at the basis of the onset and escalation of disease and can also result in the persistence of the pathogen in chronic infections. This EuroSciCon meeting will be a premier forum for the presentation of cutting-edge research on key mechanisms used by different classes of pathogens to evade host innate and acquired immunity. The meeting will contribute to steer the course of future research into more rational measures to prevent disease in humans and animals. -

Strategies for commercial success of biosimilars in an increasingly crowded market place
Posted on November 28, 2011 | No CommentsWhilst biopharmaceuticals remain a major component of the global therapeutics market, the ever expanding portfolio of products losing patent protection and with increasing healthcare costs remaining a poignant issue, the opportunity for development of competing, follow on biologics remains an attractive proposition for both Biotech and Pharma companies alike. This Euroscicon biosimilars conference will focus on multiple aspects of biosimilar product development to successfully deliver safe, biosimilar products to the market place. -
The 15th European Microscopy Congress
Posted on November 28, 2011 | No CommentsThe 15th European Microscopy Congress, emc2012, will be one of the largest microscopy and scientific imaging conferences in the world. emc2012 delegates will be offered a high quality programme, with an exciting line-up of seven plenary speakers, four symposia and six parallel sessions each day spanning over the five days. The scientific sessions will strike a balance between light and electron microscopy and life and physical sciences, including for example Multi-photon Fluorescence Microscopy, Confocal Microscopy, Flow Cytometry, Scanning Probe Microscopy, Scanning and Transmission Electron Microscopy, and Focused Ion Beam. In addition, Europe’s largest exhibition dedicated to microscopy will take place, and will also include four technical workshop theatres, a prominent poster village, the enhanced RMS Learning Zone - a fully-equipped teaching and learning area - and refreshment and catering facilities.
